how to make this:
original photo
1) crop the image to 100x100 and sharpen once
YOUR BASE:
2) duplicate twice. set the layer on top of the base layer to screen (50), and the duplicate layer above of that to soft light.
YOUR LAYER PALETTE + ICON SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS:
3) make a new raster layer and set it to screen, then duplicate it twice. set the first duplicate to burn and the second to normal.
YOUR LAYER PALETTE SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS:
4) oook. now on the second duplicate of layer 3 erase the inside of the eyes. so that it become more noticable.
your icons should now look like this overall:
5) then i took another image of ayumi, here. i cropped and resized it to a reasonable size, then i pasted it as a new layer and set it to mirror. i then erased part of the second image so the below image wasnt covered.
YOU SHOULD NOW HAVE THIS:

i then took this base by
_0xygen and pasted it as new layer then setted it to screen.
after that..duplicate the layer and set that to burn. erase part of the layer so that the burn isnt over the first image of ayumi.
YOU SHOULD NOW HAVE THIS:
7) duplicate layer 6 and bring it all the way to the top. set it to soft light. erase the right side so that the 2nd image of ayumi isnt too white.
YOU SHOULD NOW HAVE THIS:
8) ook now you just add the text..and if you want..any other brushes/borders or whatever..and YOU'RE DONE! :]
