That's a face only a mother could love...

Alright guys, I’ll be back to posting scene lists tomorrow, but today I have to ask you to forgive me for taking a little detour and being incredibly wordy. Um…sorry about that in advance.

There are certain episodes of Lost that I feel are inarguably great: “Walkabout”, “The Constant”, “The Man Behind the Curtain”, “Through the Looking Glass”---they ( Read more... )

I think it says your awesome. :D

It's the little, experimental character-driven episodes that I've always loved the best. I rarely ever re-watch the finales or the big death scene type episodes like "Do No Harm" because they seriously stress me out.

Homecoming! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who loves that ep.

I'm enjoying your lists! Thanks.

The Brig is one of my favourite episodes. It completely changed my mind about Locke and Sawyer. Locke had been my favourite up until that point, but I cannot forgive him for what he asked Sawyer to do. With Sawyer, I always found him pretty annoying until this poignant performance.

SOS - A nice episode and an unexpected backstory. I lvoe how Rose and Bernard's relationship was so new.

Expose - This was lots of fun! We got ride of Nikki/Paulo, got to see Shannon and Boone and Arzt again. I also liked the scenes between Sun, Charlie and Sawyer.

Homecoming - I really the Ethan storyline here. The FB theme was a little repetitive coming so close on the heels of The Moth. But I do love that copier scene. In my own canon, I'm convince Charlie's rich girlfriend was a friend of Penny's. (If they had panned better - it could have been Penny!)

I'm glad your enjoying them! I'm having so much fun making them, although I think my nostalgia has officially reached a level of crazy.

"The Brig" was definitely the episode that changed my opinion of Sawyer too. I've always liked him, but he's never been my favorite character. I always felt he was being an ass simply because he was too stubborn to try to be anything else, but I always think of this ep as a turning point for him. He finally started to grow out of this horrible experience and that's what I had been waiting for him to do for three seasons.

Expose is so much fun. I was surprised by how many people hated that episode during the worst episode poll a couple of months ago.

Okay, Penny and Lucy as friends is just brilliant. That needs to be a fic.

I looooooved Ji Yeon, so much, even though Jin and Sun have never topped my favourite character lists. The storytelling in that episode was just incredible.

And I actually really, really liked 316, especially in comparison to stuff like Dead is Dead. The Eloise scene was WEAK (which sucks, because I *heart* her) but otherwise it was pretty fascinating, and I totally agree with the Jack analysis.

I always feel bad for admitting this, but Jin/Sun episodes tend to bore me to tears. I've just never been terribly interested in them. But "Ji Yeon" is so well-crafted. The way they used our expectations as viewers against us was brilliant.

Yay! I thought I was the only "316" fan. The opening scene was too full of Scifi mumbo-jumbo, but the journey Jack goes on in that episode was a pleasure to watch. It's so quiet and such a character-piece, it was definitely one of my s5 favorites.

The only things I liked in Stranger in a Strange Land were the aloe scene which still makes me squee and the reveal that Jack's tattoo says: "He walks among us, but he is not one of us." Granted I would like that even more if I thought that was going to be relevant, but I honestly think the writers just thought it sounded cool. Which it did, but still ( ... )

I love SOS; it turns me into a puddle of goo every time I see it. And YES to the Brig, the scene where Sawyer kills Cooper is so heartbreaking.

I confess, I used to think I hated Expose, but on my recent re-watch with my brothers, we decided not to skip it. And I kind of loved it.

No matter how I felt about Jack at the time(I've both loved and hated him), I always thought 316 was a great episode for him. His uncertainty and hope is interesting and relatable, and the scene where he wakes up in the jungle again is some cool storytelling.

I'm so glad I watched SOS a second time because it's such a lovely episode. I just didn't fully appreciate it at the time.

"Expose"! It plays so much better on the second viewing.
