Juliet as hunter is like my head-canon now. She would pawn that job. :D

This was not only wonderfully written, but a wicked idea, too: I didn't think there could be a crueler fate for Juliet than falling down the shaft, but being stuck on the island indefinitely as the protector of the light? Poor Juliet! Three years is just a drop in the bucket!
Yet at the same time, I like the idea of Juliet as protector: it really seems to fit her character--jaded and resigned, but still trying to do what's right.

Secondly, OH MY GOD, I LOVE MY GIFT. That's like. That's the best thing ever. I just read it three times in a row. And I am this close to crying. My stomach actually did this little twisty thing that makes you feel all devasteted and achy. You know what I mean? If not, sorry, I can't form proper sentences. Perfection. You are amazing and awesome and the best and I don't know how to thank you enough. Julie! Sammy! Oh shit, you break my heart. I love it so, so much. No coherent thoughts. No. Coherent. Thoughts. Guh! No, really, GUHHH! You know, as long as we don't get to see what Sam did during that year, this is my canon. So fucking perfect.
Juliet as a hunter and Nothing matters anymore, not to them. and it’s a chemical reaction and everything, everything, EVERYTHING.

Yay! Thank you so much.
I'm so, so glad you liked it! It's weird, but I didn't realize that Juliet and Sam had that many parallels until I started writing it. But damn, those two would totally work together. Just...I think they might be my new wacky crossover OTP. They're a lot of fun to write, despite the angst. And that song was the perfect prompt, it's so them. <3
