Why my medicine cabinet is bulging along with my waistline

Oct 06, 2014 18:51

I've learned in the last 24 hours that I can no longer eat whatever I want, whenever I want .. and also that if I'm exhausted enough, I can sleep in a sitting up position.

I've also learned some things about home heating systems. Neither discovery was particularly pleasant.

medical stuff, home maintenance, food

Am just thankful for the years my furnace starts without a major intervention.

Yeah, I get about one year out of every three where things go off more or less without a hitch. This was not one of those years.

speakr2customrs has found out the same thing - apple pie for example.

I suppose by the time I no longer care enough to be careful about what I eat, I won't be able to eat anything at all! With him it's apple pie, with me it'll probably be chocolate ice cream.

I know that feeling too. It's a bit of a shock when you realise your digestive system can't necessarily take what you pile into it!

My wife thinks eating the way I used to might have caused this, but I think I was better off eating like that while I could!

The price of getting older, unfortunately.
