I'm Not Okay, and That's Okay

I'm not okay.

Sometimes we have to admit that to ourselves. Not to others, for attention or sympathy--but to yourself. Pretending you're okay is not okay. Being not okay is okay, which doesn't mean you should want to stay that way.

It’s definitely a good thing to recognise that people are not OK and also that’s it’s alright to acknowledge it when something triggers depression. The bad stuff keeps happening - and we need to acknowledge our feelings and ask for help if we need it.
