EJ's birthday came up on my iCal reminder a few weeks back. I set it years ago like this so I could send her a birthday card in enough time to arrive before the actual day. Now I keep pushing it a day - can't delete it. It all still seems so unreal. Thank you for posting this so we could all remember her.

Thank for your reading Suzanne. EJ was such a beautiful, warm, funny and generous person. It's hard to believe she's not with us anymore.

it was so odd to receive those reminder notifications and to know she wasn't there to reach out to. She'll always be a part of us...
every time we get together (our little group she pieced together) and each time I wear the dress we bought together in Gap. She left us with so many wonderful memories, pieces of wisdom and wit, and friendship that lasts beyond this life.
