Bowling Party

Yesterday I had to work for a couple of hours in Rocklin while all of the other managers had an 8-hour long meeting. Cicely, Kathryn, Alex, and Jackie came in to eat, and when they finished I left with them to go to our "employee appreciation"/3-year anniversary work party. We stopped at a BevMo on the way and picked up some vodka so that we ( Read more... )

i saw Superman Returns last night... i don't think the actor that played Superman will ever have another acting job. he pretty much only had about three different lines, which he repeated throughout the film [ex: "goodbye Lois" and "i'm always around, Lois"] and one blank look on his face. also, i found a lot of religious undertones through out it.

we NEED to go see The Devil and Daniel Johnston... i think that's what it's called.

Hah, I liked the movie as a whole ... but yeah, the guy who played Superman didn't have a lot of depth to him (and the delivery for his little heartfelt thing with the boy was really lacking). I think all he'll have going for him is the Superman franchise, provided they make some more films in the near future.

Yes, let's go see it.

It hasn't quite sunk in yet. runningfree July 2 2006, 04:41:33 UTC
Thank God it's summer break. I don't think I've ever been so tired from doing school-related work. The last few weeks have been non-stop.

I slept in 'til noon today, which was sweet. I haven't been able to do that for the longest time. It definitely felt good.

I watched 'Twist' last night. There wasn't a great deal of depth to it, still it was pretty good, albeit somewhat disturbing at times.

Think I'll surf the net a bit to see if I can find any deals on flights or train rides. Not yet really quite sure which direction I'd like to travel though. I think I just need to make sure I get away for a week or so sometime this summer.

In reference to the message about 'The Devil and Daniel Webster' - I recall reading the play when I was in highschool. I think I enjoyed it.

Hopefully I'll be able to stay in touch on a more regular basis for the next little while. I hope you don't think I've been 'avoiding' you. ;-)

Take care and have a great weekend.

Sleeping in can be a very nice feeling. Glad to know that your summer break is off to a good start.

This is going to be brief, because I'm having a horrible start of the week and I feel like shit. :-/ Hope all is well.

Oh, and the movie mentioned is "The Devil and Daniel Johnston", not The Devil and Daniel Webster. I believe they're different. :-P

But, uh, umm, Johnston was his mother's maiden name. ;-)

Hope you are in a more celebratory (no, not celebatory) mood today. After all it is the 4th of July. Hope you see some fireworks.

Time for me to head into town, get a bit of banking done, see if my MRI results have come in yet, and then make myself an appointment to get my eyes checked out.

Havae yourself a terrific Tuesday and I'll catch up with you later. Adios.
