Bowling Party
Yesterday I had to work for a couple of hours in Rocklin while all of the other managers had an 8-hour long meeting. Cicely, Kathryn, Alex, and Jackie came in to eat, and when they finished I left with them to go to our "employee appreciation"/3-year anniversary work party. We stopped at a BevMo on the way and picked up some vodka so that we could have a couple of drinks before heading in to Country Club Lanes to bowl.
We went in and said hi to everyone, and I went and bought a beer at the bar. Next thing I knew, someone was running over and telling me it was my turn to bowl ... when I didn't even know that I had been signed up on a lane. I ran and got some shoes and proceeded to suck (as always) at bowling. It was a lot of fun though, and I did get two strikes in my second game. Hehe.
It's our owner Michael's 50th birthday in a few days, so Laurel bought him a big cake and we all sang for him. Edgar almost dropped the cake.
We had our bowling lanes until 9pm, at which time a bunch of people left, and a bunch of us headed over to the arcade to play or watch people play DDR. I played a few games with Tracey, Edgar's girlfriend. Next, we went into the bar for a few more drinks and to play some pool. I surprisingly beat both people I played (I usually suck at pool, like with most games), and they bought me drinks for winning.
My brother called me while we were there, and the phone got passed around to like 5 different people while I was playing. He talked to quite a few drunk people. Haha.
When it came time to leave, I realized that I didn't have my keys, because earlier I had handed them to someone so that they could go to my car and get some alcohol out of it. I called around, and eventually found that Jackie had left with my keys. She brought them back to me and I headed home.
It was definitely a fun night.
Tonight, a group from work is going to see the opening showing of Superman Returns. I'm kinda excited to see it.
