I know I say this pretty much every time I talk about Kubo, but I love his art! So much! The little grumpy chibis! The dynamic lines! The fight scenes! I don't even care about fight scenes and he makes me think they're exciting!

I also loved seeing Urahara and Yoruichi in action. I still haven't entirely forgiven Urahara for what he did to Rukia, but he's almost unfairly cool. The revelation about Isshin totally blew my minds--though in retrospect, we did get hints about that before. Also, you've now met Shinji (the male vizard), right? If you go back to one of the really early chapters, you can see his face on one of the chapter title pages. Kubo is sneaky.
You can now safely read all my Bleach fic except for the most recent Hitsugaya one.

I haven't forgiven Urahara per se, but he's like Roy Mustang -- he's so skeevy! And manipulative! And entirely too clever for his own good! So, um, yes, I love him to pieces despite not trusting him at all.
I did get a bit sick of the fanservice, particularly wrt to Matsumoto and Orihime (good lord), and the gratuitous color spreads of the women in tiny bikinis.
But Rukia reappearing with a pure white zanpakutou and kicking Ichigo's ass and throwing fake shoujo sparklies everywhere makes up for a whole lot.

Urahara is indeed awesome, if deeply untrustworthy.
Have you read that chapter 181 crackfic that I sent you? Is it not awesome? I think I nearly fell out of my chair the first time I read it. (Hrm. I should do a Bleach rec post.)
