The men's pentathlon, the afternoon session, so I'll get equestrian, running and shooting, and the medal ceremony. Which should make for a fun afternoon.
Woot! :D What have you got them for? (My cousin managed the Men's 100m final which is very cool, but you're the only other person I know who's managed anything).
I've got them for the men's pentathlon, the afternoon session, so I get equestrian, running, shooting and the medal ceremony. Just over 4 hours, in Greenwich Park. I nearly went for a rowing session as well, but I decided to be sensible and not overspend.
Getting the Men's 100m final is amazing! I looked for the Men's 100m relay final, and the only tickets left were about £450 and £725... If you're guessing I didn't try for one of those, you're right!
Wow... you're going to be in London for the whole thing. :) Hope it's not too much of a trek for you.
Greenwich is beautiful, my Grandad lived right on the Heath near the entrance.
He's seriously chuffed. It is funny, though I don't think it'd be my top choice of event. It's the shortest and the winner is already fairly certain. But then I like odd sports, archery would have been fun.
I often have a day in London, so it'll be easy enough, though I imagine getting out to Greenwich from the centre will take longer than usual. And yes, it's a lovely area, though last summer the park did look a bit odd when they cordoned off the Olympic area in practice.
I was thinking about archery too - I meant to do it at school, but ended up doing fencing instead - I can't remember why now, but I'm still fascinated by it. There are still some sessions for sale, actually. I've been eying them up.
