I think the red is a combination of having something flashy to catch attention (and distract attention from their face in some cases), and because it's a patriotic sort of colour for American superheroes. But I'm like Brad - way more interested in what's under the superhero suit!

I adore how you turned a one word prompt into an awesome SUPERHERO!AU. Only your devious mind could make the jump like that.

Also, I lovelovelove how Nate's civilian identity isn't the bumbling fool/dork Superman's is supposed to be and that it isn't really a big deal in the story overall.

Oh, and the fact that your bad guys weren't over-the-top villains but your run-of-the-mill thieves? Even better.

(what IS Nate's infatuation with red?)

I do love prompts that I can run in all sorts of directions from - this was a fun one to work with.

Also, I lovelovelove how Nate's civilian identity isn't the bumbling fool/dork Superman's is supposed to be and that it isn't really a big deal in the story overall.

I'm so glad that worked - I wanted to start with a familiar base, but didn't want to go with all the cliches.
