I have written this, though, which I'm posting because nicolasechs wanted Nate singing - thanks for reading it over, babe. It's more Regency AU (previous snippet here), and more Brit English.2

I almost expected a splash on my keyboard reading this.. ella it's right, it's romantic and sad, and if I could listen to the music I would wake up to a damp pillow too..

love her love for the music and for what it's beautiful in it, and love how we revisit their love through her eyes.. but SNIFF!!!

I've just realised that what I need to do to fix the angst is write Ray the stable boy perving on Brad and Nate getting all steamy in the stables! *g*

Oooh, speaking of angst, I'm almost picturing this as a Maurice scenario, where Nate gets married to Lady Helena, and Brad ends up with Ray-as-Scudder, the stableboy. It would be sad but true, I think.

Argh, mustn't look now. I've had three seriously late nights in a row, and look and feel like a zombie!

I'm almost picturing this as a Maurice scenario, where Nate gets married to Lady Helena, and Brad ends up with Ray-as-Scudder, the stableboy. It would be sad but true, I think.

Nooooooooooooooooooooo!!! I loved Maurice, but the ending always made me sad, and I just couldn't write Brad/Ray, even if my life depended on it!

I want to write a stupid, mushy, running into each other's arms first kiss scene. God, when my ideas are so trashy, no wonder I can't write!

This is so incredibly beautiful and romantic. Seeing it through Ella's eyes, and how so many different excitements about life are sparked in her by them, is fascinating. So rich and gorgeous. I hope to see more in the future. Thank you.
