grey skies blue
I could swear the blue sky looked grey today. Supposedly we can't see the volcanic ash, but it looked grey to me. Brits, what do you think?
I'm away for a long weekend again: I shall enjoy the sun and ignore the alarmists. I might get some writing time, random 15 minutes here and there, so how about some drabbly-sized prompts? Fandoms/pairings I fancy writing at the moment are: Generation Kill (Brad/Nate - crazy AUs welcome), Sherlock Holmes (Holmes/Watson), Better Off Ted (gen or Ted/Veronica) or Merlin (Arthur/Merlin, though I haven't seen the last few episodes, so no spoilery prompts, please). Vague possibilities (I'd like to write them but don't know if I can) are Southland, Band of Brothers and White Collar. And then there's always Supernatural (Sam/Dean or Sam/female, though again, I'm months behind), Life, Iron Man, Harry Potter, Sports Night, Stargate Atlantis, Doctor Who, Good Omens, Star Trek... If I can get a page of prompts in my notebook to skim over, that'd would be great. No promises though - I may not get any writing time at all!!
And to repay you for prompts, have some music. Killrockstars have a rather good free sampler here: twenty-one tracks, including Elliott Smith, Sleater Kinney, Deerhoof, The Decemberists and Horse Feathers. And Daniel Zott has a free album here that I love - covers that are very different from the originals (if you like it, buy something else on his website!).
