I don't know if you have a specific Mabel in mind, but to me it's a VERY old lady - OR a baby whose parents thought it would be totally cool to try and revive the name for. Unlikely to be inbetween ages. I think it weirdly makes a cute baby name, actually. :D

I did have a specific Mabel in mind, actually, and I was going to post the next day and explain it all, but then pinch hits and stuff came up, and I've done nothing but write and beta the last few days! Oh, and work of course. *g*

My grandma Mabel died a few years ago. She'd have been about 90 now.
