Thank you! It's not at all what I set out to write (not that I had more than a vague idea in mind), but I just started to really feel for Sam and how he's had to change to survive.

Glad I wasn't the only one thinking that -- I was like, wait a minute, they're in an office in a small town hospital, with windows all around and blinds open? Okay! :)

I thought at one point I saw her close one of the blinds, but the ones behind them definitely weren't closed! Perhaps it was late enough that they were alone in that part of the hospital... *g*

It wasn't meant to be melancholy at all - just porny! But it just went that way - I think, wonderful as that episode was (and I LOVED it) it really was terribly sad too.

This is so *exactly* what was happening! (The fic, I mean, of course. I think my favorite pic is the second last one, where Cara is positively *gleeful*. For one little interlude, they can forget their troubles. No regrets. No tomorrow. Just, now. And she completely does.)

I wish it could have been happier, but I think Sam's in too dark a place right now. But yes, that cap of Cara laughing is so lovely, a few minutes of just being happy and enjoying each other.
