Oooh, four prompts in one! ::is impressed:: Love the ones you chose, too, and what you did with them. I totally believe in the greatness of that handjob, the way you describe it. Jack's worry about Daniel leaving him is gentle and subtle, and it's nice to see it put to rest this way. And I like how Daniel re-directed his missing-of-women (nice play with the nipple at the start there) into something he could do with Jack, and the more deeply embedded indication that (oh, I'm waxing stupidly Psych 101 here, but it's an aspect of this ficlet I really like so here goes) Daniel has integrated the happy memories of Sha're into who he is, that she can be a part of him and inform his life in good ways, not be an ever-aching wound. Plus, dude, awesome tradition. And lucky Jack, being an ass man, since Daniel's got quite a nice one. :-) Really enjoyed this, thank you!

Wow, what great, detailed feedback, thank you! This story started out life as something entirely different--it's actually part of a WIP that I was hoping to develop into a J/D/ofc fic of some sort ('cause I have a thing for threesomes; I've written them in two other fandoms). Because the original scene was both too long, and not porny enough, for the Porn Battle, I rewrote it for the occasion. (It may reappear in something closer to its original form if I can ever get anywhere with that WIP

There's the power of the subconscious for ya! -- Geraniums! A shorthand of liviapenn's cited by flambeau here and that I totally love. Although 'Nipples!' would work nicely too, now. *g*

::nodnod:: about Jack being just as arguably prone to abandonment issues as Daniel, and that 'Meridian' would contribute. Owwch. I also like that this fic in and of itself doesn't necessarily make that all better for Jack. It's beautiful and it helps and it adds a sense of emotional completion, but it's not a guaranteed fix, either. Stuff like that can linger for a long time. This can go either way, which is really nice. And ::nodnod:: about Sha're too.

I would totally love to see that wip/longer fic if you do get somewhere with it, so I'll be rooting for it and hoping.

I love this story ever so much. It's perfectly in voice, the progression, the tenderness, everything. And also...

So often in slash people implicitly or explicitly disavow the canon het experiences the characters they're slashing may have had, as if the slash must be justified by erasing or vilifying het. I really love that not only did you not do that, but that Jack and Daniel had a reminiscent, cheerful conversation about women that just made me want to squeeze them both.

Enough social politics of writing. Did I mention how hot this is? Because it's really, really, *really* hot.
