It's incomprehensible to most English speakers/readers, and it has an air of "look, I can understand this and you can't", so it might as well be another language.
I wouldn't consider medieval Welsh to be the same as modern welsh (and by the way, I was agreeing with treefox, not you velvet, so you may want to rescind your thanks) - my former English tutor at Jesus was something of a polyglot and in fact studied both Old English and Old Welsh as distinct branches of their own (as well as approximately 27 other languages, of which he was fluent in 15). Whilst Old English provides the foundations for the modern language, there are substantial differences, and I tend to agree with Mr Jacobs that the changes brought about by the introduction of Norman French and the more modern imports are substantial enough to make modern English at the very least an evolution and practically a language in its own right.
Possibly your keyboard is an exception, but I know mine doesn't have a thorn character.
If you MUST post in archaic languages, at least post an explanation in modern and readable English, and preferably a translation too.
