I have gotten many letters in the past weeks that greatly affected my future.

Firstly there were the rejection letters from Oberlin and Swarthmore. Neither was entirely unexpected, but both were sobering. I suppose they made my choices easier, in some ways.

Second was the letter from Bard saying I was accepted. I have gotten nothing more from them

I will defend Bard to the death. Partly because I want you to go there more then anything, and partly because My dad has been part of the Bard community for maybe 8 years now, and i have nothing but good things to say about it. I couldnt tell you MUCH about the students, but i havent heard a bad thing about them. I think it tends to get labeled as pretentious because lets face it, its one of the most beautiful, expensive and well staffed liberal arts schools in New York. I can tell you that the LARGE amount of proffessors (mostly English) I've met from Bard, some of them close dad friends, are super interesting, super caring and fucking so good at what they do

ALSO, I think the classes would be a good match for you especially. They tend to tailor to your specific brand of great.

One thing that I probably can stress enough, is not to worry about money. You come from a relatively well off family, you probably have a college fund, not to mention you are super smart, and can continue to apply for scholarships/grants while you are there. Go to the college that will suit you best, and you WILL find the money for it, even if it means taking out student loans. If you are juggling loans for another 20 years after you graduate then you will just be an average postgrad.
