Hi! I can only make suggestions for two of these -
#2 - alibris.com - list books you are interested in by the used book store with the quality. NOt only that, but it's worldwide, so sometimes you can find interesting things in foreign stores.

Also, barnesandnoble.com - when you do a search, there is usually a link to used books. The used books are from used book stores and list the quality.

4) Favorite sites for recipes: allrecipes.com and foodnetwork.com.

I use my crockpot a lot in the cooler months and have gotten some good suggestions from: http://community.livejournal.com/what_a_crock/profile. Also I've gotten some good stuff from the NY Times.

As far as books go, I know a great place for used books (and I have sometimes gotten new books there for half-price before they have even hit regular bookstores) but it is a real store. I have used the "used book" option on Amazon in the past.

Sometimes you can find really good deals on books at half.com which is basically ebay for books and movies but without having to bid.
