Today is Bloomsday, the day in which all the action in James Joyce's Ulysses takes place. The date of the novel was chosen because it was the anniversary of the author's first date with his wife. I love that.

Heh. So, in case anyone was worried that I'd somehow managed to acquire some grace and/or agility since moving to California, let me put your minds at ease: yesterday afternoon, I managed to wipe out IN MY OWN BACKYARD while attempting to empty our compost container into the compost bin.
