I like anything on or off Brendon, this is true. But c'mon, he's sort of hot with the beard. Whatever, he's SO hot with the beard, because he's Brendon.
And you are totally discriminatory (and sometimes mean!) to Zac Efron, who, I might mention, is almost exactly the same age as Spencer Smith, so I feel no badness about making fun of him.

I am mostly looking for the following things:
1) places -- restaurants and things -- were high-school and college kids hung out.
2) venues where they played live music, and the kinds of bands that played.
3) record shops in/around NYU.
4) and the basic "vibe" of the area -- was it mostly safe, really scary in parts, mostly filled with college kids, tourists, what? back in the day?
Anything big or little you remember would be helpful. Thank you in advance!

Hee. I hope that this story does not disappoint when it becomes reality.
You can scope out London for me, too, circa 1979. You know, since you're gonna be here.

Don't be mean to Spencer. (It's pre-emptive. :) )
