My most adored little dragon,

Italy is wonderful; I do hope that Harry will enjoy it this time, as opposed to merely enjoying you. You must imagine that said in my most snide 'jealous lover' tone, as it really is rather more funny that way. If you manage to see some sights, perhaps it might do the ickle wifey some good; he's long seemed woefully uncivilised and underexposed to more cosmopolitan ideals. I trust your taste, honestly, and I can only imagine him to be a gentleman diamond in the knavish rough. If anywhere might polish him properly and if any man might set him upon the path of righteousness... Well. I'm certain you've it well in hand. Kudos to you, my darling, and good luck.

And, as you mention Milan... I must confess that I've yet to select a wardrobe for the autumn fashion season. It might be an excellent bonding opportunity for us as mates were we to do the Via Montenapoleone together. Agree? Y/N?

Did you say catwalk? As in a place whereupon one shakes one's little tush? I promise I shan't say fashion only to seize ( ... )

Slut,

Plastic footwear? Does such a thing exist? I confess to having worn rubber footwear, but then they were Ralph Lauren or Gucci or Dolce & Gabbana and I most certainly did not buy them from any department bazaar. (Also, re: Death Eaters, please do have a care about reminding me; I did get the memo re: Harry Potter v. Voldemort.) Do you mean to imply that K & his mart &c are forces of -- quickly, what's the opposite of panache? -- gaucheness? Do let me know if you get some sort of elite K-fighting force together, yeah? I was really quite good with the Special Forces thing, and I've quite a splendid wardrobe built up for that career eventuality.

Please tell me he doesn't wear the plastic footgear with the flannel... Have you considered an intervention? I know Harry doesn't particularly like me, but I would certainly attend and lend support should he ever be willing to try and break the chains that bind him to two-for-ten shirts. (Also, as such, do you mean to imply that he has purchased shirts for 5USD apiece? That's what? A £2 ( ... )

Daddy,

Perhaps they were rubber. I'm not certain. I didn't get that close to them. They reeked of Muggle chemicals and not in a good way. They offended my eye and so without hesitation, I sent them on to their great reward. Unfortunately, that has proven problematic. When Harry found out about it, he went into a complete spin about it and said rather rude things about my person. Now, I realize that it was likely just a side effect of whatever curse these Marts may have put on him, but I was wounded in any case-- all the more reason why these stores must be ended. Harry even went so far as to consider opening one of his own. Can you imagineThe Boy Who Bought On Sale ( ... )

Draco,

London? As in London? As in HERE???? I must invest in some red paint. This city would look good painted red, don't you think? I must restock my incense and myrrh and stuff so I can worship appropriately!

Not until the second? That sounds suspiciously like you love Harry more than me, and I knowthat is not humanly possible... *narrows eyes* Oh, well, if you have to go, could you pick up a Venetian for me? Tall, dark, and handsome would work. Let's try a boy this time, as girls are proving more frustrating than words...grrrrrrr ( ... )

Pandering Pansy,

It's not your birthday, so you don't get a week away with me in Italy. You'll just have to make sure that I know when your birthday comes 'round again, won't you?

I'd pick up a Venetian for you, but I'm not sure if he would wish to leave my side. You know how it is. Also, it would make Harry rather cross were I to start picking up strange men, no matter how noble my intentions are. Perhaps I could pick you up a buzzing bit of a man, hm? That would be fun, wouldn't it?

So has Michael moved out of the gallery? I suspected he might have. Well, that's for the best. It was a rather small space. I'd never intended it to be for anything but a room in which to shag Harry in should the mood strike us whilst we were in the gallery. Unhappy memories of it now, I suppose.

When I return, we will shop. Did my father take your card from you?

Pathetic Pansikins,

He cancelled the account? How amusing. I'm starting to suspect that Harry is low on funds as he's shopping at discount outlets. Actually, the bigger shock is Harry shopping. But still, you see my point. It's worrisome.

Stop by Narcissus to get on a skincare regimen. There's nothing sadder than a 30-year-old woman protesting that people think she's 20. Seriously. Don't be that girl. Also, I do know what dark hair gone grey looks like. Severus is decaying poorly. I blame the dog. It's as revolting on men as on women.

I wonder if Padma goes missing if that means that you turn people invisible. That's quite a talent, really. I'd be quite impressed. We'd have to figure out how to market it, of course.

As for Michael... when I get there, I'm going to move his things and if he shows up and asks for them back, we'll know he exists. If not, then I'll assume he found somewhere else to live. What a bother. Remind me not to be nice again. This is exactly why I'm not. It goes so poorly.

Draco,

That's wonderful news! I'm so pleased that the two you wanted accepted you. I'm also very happy that you'll be coming back to London.

I didn't realize that it was nearly Harry's birthday. I shall have to find him a suitable gift. Did you need any help with the party? I'm sure he'll enjoy Italy and the romantic gondola ride quite a lot. I certainly would. If you need me to do anything for the party, do let me know. I don't mind.

I'll be sure to keep my eyes open for a delivery, though I won't be here if they deliver them during the day. They'll just leave them at the door, I suppose. Bark? Do these packages need to be fed and watered upon delivery?

Love,

Mum

Mum,

It should be just a small party. I'm sure he'd like to see you there. He just wants his friends, so it shouldn't be a big deal. Although if you'd like to bake those chocolate chip biscuits he's fond of, I'm sure they'd be a big hit. I'll probably hold it in the ballroom, I've hired a house-elf service to clean it tip to toe and put in a couple of tables for service and an open bar. But if you've a spare moment, perhaps a couple of floral arrangements?

They shouldn't require feeding or watering. Really, unless something untoward comes on property, they shouldn't move. Make sure that they put them inside, though. I'm not sure when the paperwork will completely clear on them. They're not exactly illegal... but I had to expedite the paperwork on them a bit and... well, it's lagging a little. But I wanted to give them to Harry on his birthday... so... you see the dilemma. Slow Ministry buggerers.

Draco

Draco,

I can certainly make biscuits on Thursday evening. I'll also stop by and check on the service. One never knows how those creatures may work if they're given free reign. It won't hurt to remind them that they're being watched. I'll create a couple of floral arrangements next week with a few things from the garden.

All right. I'll make sure the delivery people leave the packages inside. I'm sure Harry will love anything that you give him, especially when you've gone to so much trouble!

Love,

Mum

Mum,

Good! Thanks for checking on them. I haven't told father I'll be back yet. I'm going to just show up for breakfast again one morning. I think he enjoys being surprised. He says he doesn't, but you know how he is. I'd bother him to check on the house-elves, but I don't really want him in the house without supervision. So I appreciate you checking in on it.

I hope he loves them. They're really interesting and a compromise on something I know he wants. Plus they'll keep watch over the house. I'm excited. I can't wait to show him. But first the week in Italy. I just love showing him new places. He gets so wide-eyed and enthralled. I'm sad that he grew up in a cupboard, but selfishly... I really love getting to share these firsts with him.

Gah. I sound like a sap.

Anyway... I'll see you soon!

Love,
Draco

Draco,

Glad to hear it. I'll be sure to clear some room on my busy social calendar.

I'd like that very much. I will pass the idea by him and perhaps we can set a date.

Yours,
Malcolm
