Date: 2 July 2001 Characters: Hermione, Sirius, Weasleys, Jack, close friends Status: Private Summary: Hermione lets people know about Charlie and how he's doing Completion: Incomplete
Thank you. Charlie is doing better, though the stay at the hospital may drive him crazy. If you or Snape could find time to visit him, even briefly, I'm sure he'd appreciate the distraction.
I hope Charlie is healing quickly - he was in there by himself long enough to take a hell of a lot. That he managed to cause as much damage as he did is just proof that he's a hell of a Gryffindor: brave and protective. I hope the hybrids are all right - we got out of there too quickly to check. When everyone's healed up, maybe the five of us could get together - quiet, calm, no intruders except waiters.
Give my best to Charlie. And, Hermione, if there's anything Kevin or I can do to help, please say so.
He's doing better but he hates being confined to bed so he's already going crazy with the hospital thing. I know from what I've heard that he suffered quite a lot while protecting the babies, but it would have been much worse if you hadn't been there to help. Thank you again.
Yes, when things have calmed back down, we'll definitely have to try for that dinner Kevin and I have been discussing for awhile.
I'm so sorry to hear about Charlie. I know what it's like to have something bad happen to someone you love and I can only hope that Charlie will bounce back to health in good time.
If there's anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you. Charlie is doing better now, thankfully. I appreciate your offer. Depending on how long they keep Charlie, I might ask you the favor of looking after Quin for an hour or two so I can try to get things caught up. Right now, though, I've managing.
Please let me know if there is any assistance at all I can give you. I would like to be of service to you and to Charlie if there's anything at all I can do.
Let me know when I can bring you dinner and I will come in after work this week so we can talk about it in person. I'll even bring something for Quin.
Love, Angie
PS - Let me know if I can bring anything for Charlie, if there's anything he needs.
Thank you, love. I appreciate the offer. Right now, it's waiting for him to recover well enough to be released from the hospital. I hate waiting. Of course, Charlie has it far worse as he's already going crazy at being stuck in the hospital. If you happen that way, you might stop by and say hi. I think he'd enjoy the distraction from staring at the ceiling.
Right now, things are rather hectic. I'm not sure when Charlie will be released so I hesitate to make definite plans. Can we tentatively say Thursday and I'll let you know if something comes up?
I hope that you'll call on me if you need anything at all. I hate waiting, too. I know what it's like. If you need company, please let me know. I'll try to stop by Mungo's sometime this week, as well. Any idea how long he'll be there (tomorrow, next week)? Should I bring something with me when I go? Favourite food or something?
I'll definitely let you know if I need anything. No, we aren't sure how long they'll keep him at St. Mungos. He's recovering but his lungs were so badly charred that it's taking time for them to heal and nothing else can really be fixed until they are so it could be a day or a week.
Perhaps some sort of Quidditch magazine? Anything with lots of pictures would probably entertain him and keep him from being too bored. As for food, as long as it's not seafood and doesn't have coconut, he'd enjoy it. He's only had hospital food for several days now, after all.
Of course I'll visit Charlie. Are days being assigned to keep him occupied, or is it catch as catch can?
Just as importantly, what can I do for you and Quin? (And I mean a specific thing or things I can do, Hermione Jane. Don't think of it as asking for help, think of it as delegating tasks.)
We've not reached a day designation yet, though he'd be happy to have someone there entertaining any time he's awake. Ron is going to visit him this afternoon but, beyond that, I don't know who has seen him or who plans to see him.
Right now, I have everything under control. Quin is staying with your mum at night so I can be at the hospital, as I'm sure you know, and I can handle the rest of things. If I need help, I'll definitely let you know.

I didn't notice a thing, truly.

We'll plan on Thursday then. Say early evening?
