I took a few pictures today. My new camera bag makes it so much easier to get to my camera. I haven't had a chance to play with these. I sharpened a few but that's it.
I use the Canon 20D most of the time. My little one broke. *sniffles*
The A520 looks like a decent camera. Generally w/the canon's I don't feel you can go wrong although I wouldn't sugget the elphs unless you don't mind lacking functionality.
As usual, very nice photos! I've always liked your flower pictures; the one of the yellow flower is quite nice.
So, after over five years with my Canon G2, I finally decided to buy a new camera! It's supposed to arrive today... I got the Olympus E-500 DSLR with the two lens kit. I would've loved to stick with Canon, but they're just so pricey and frankly the "affordable" Rebel XT (350D) just doesn't have the "feel" I'm looking for, nor does it have the added features or image quality to justify the extra $500 I would have had to spend to get it with equivalent lenses. I was also concerned about dust; Olympus is the only company that has a system to eliminate dust from the sensor, which to me (lacking experience in this area) sounds like a big problem with other DSLRs. What's your experience been? Any thoughts on the E-500? (I haven't got it yet so it's not too late to go back! :)
I don't follow olympus at all. I don't like the way their cameras handle colors at all. Perhaps they've gotten better.
My camera has some stuff on the sensor but my friend has the kit for cleaning it off so it's no big deal. The optics of the canon lenses (like the nikon) are so good and I'm familiar with how the cameras think so I can't imagine switching.
Be sure to post some pictures once you start using them. :]
