Possible sneak peek at Season 3?

Sam Heughan recently posted a photo on Twitter of him holding up of of the Outlander trading cards (from Cryptozoic) which he'd autographed. (More details about the trading cards here.What was interesting (to me at least) is that in the pic, he's being made up with blood. What wasn't clear is if this was a recent pic, e.g. taken that same day, so

That's some impressive sleuthing - I would never notice the absence or presence of Sam's facial hair between single episodes, unless we're talking full beard.
