If you lock the door and leave the key in they can't open it. Problem solved!

That sounds descriminatory to me. What if you lock it AND leave a sign asking for people to knock and wait before entering or something...? Seriously, it sounds like something you SHOULD be able to come to an arrangement over easily (but, of course, the SHOULD is dependent on others being vaguely reasonable).

That's one of the problems - I did have a sign up to ask people to knock. It didn't bloody work. You would think that people would have more mnners.

No can do - electronic locks opened by swipe keys.
Stupid progress.

Seriously? Is yours a Community Office? Cause if it isn't, then there shouldn't be four other people running around with keys to it ~ and you should be allowed your privacy. I agree that it sounds discriminatory.

I'm pissed off for you!

Thanks honey!
My office isn't a community office, but the four other people need keys o it s they can access it when I'm not working, so that's understandable, but yeah, a little privacy when I'm in my own office wwould be nice.

at my office, when a co-worker wanted to pump milk, she'd lock herself in our phone lab and just put up a sign that said "do not disturb, lab in use."

Which is pretty much what I was doing, but obviously it wasn't good enough!

You're not *allowed*?! That's just stupid. Couldn't you just hang a sign on the door 'boobies in use' or something?

Are they just annoyed that you are pumping and trying to discourage you from continuing or is this a legitimate issue?

No, it's not a pumping issue, it's just an issue that I'm using my office for it. Which is ridiculous!

If people don't have the sense to knock and wait for permission before entering someone's office, they don't get to be protected from any psychologically scarring glimpses of boobs. [/sarcasm]

That sucks, and it sounds like they haven't even tried to come up with a reasonable compromise. It's not like you're expressing milk for the entertainment value, geez...
