What I read
The House of Binding Thorns - even though I was not entirely sure I was in the mood for a fantasy set in a crapsack world in which nobody is a very nice character and the best outcome is only ever a lesser evil, this was so well-written that I didn't actually put it down and pick up something fluffy.

Finished The Dark Flood Rises, and while I don't think it is one of the top Drabbles EVAH, pretty good, providing you don't require a plot rather than something that is a mosaic (jigsaw puzzle? Finished The Road Taken - most of it still unfamiliar. As it was largely structured around medical history stuff, I find this strange, as you'd have thought I'd remember that at least. Not one of her best works: the later ones do seem a bit phoning it in.

G B Stern, Unless I Marry (1959), which is a bit weird.
