I think drug companies just need to take steps to ensure their own safety in the event of something going wrong. I mean what in the world can you say is 100% safe for everyone to consume? Even pure water can kill you if you drink enough of it. Should someone sue Poland Spring if they chugged 2 gallons worth? Of course not but that won't stop a family from doing so. It's the legal climate we live in that everyone has to take above rational means to protect themselves ( ... )

Yes of course but why do they need government protection? Insurance is one thing (they have that no doubt). It sounds serious to me. How does it not? If Poland Springs wanted protection against lawsuits would you keep drinking their water? Would you want the government involved in protecting business against the consumer? What if you had a legit problem? Would you actually want the chips stacked against you like that?

Jews believe that mixing animal blood with human blood is an affront to God. Vaccines are made from animal parts. What about vegans? Or vegetarians? What about people who think medicine is wrong? What about people who think anything that isn't a natural remedy is bad for you? Are they not entitled to their beliefs?

A lot of people suspect that vaccines are linked to autism. Maybe they're right and maybe they're wrong but it's a pretty common belief.
