Bizarrely, the only two browsers I remember from "back in the day" were NCSA Mosaic and lynx. Was links around then?
This was waaay back in the day (well, for me anyway--I must have been 13 or 14, 8th grade?) when ISPs were offering shell accounts. I wanted a shell account and/or a chance to see what all this UNIX stuff was all about, but I wasn't technical enough on my own, nor was anyone in my immediate family that technical. So we did what everybody else did: AOL.
So yeah. That doomed me forever to a life of *nix poseur-dom.
