Some history

So, it's been 108 years since Oscar Wilde died. Time really flies. But no worries, Oscar, you're not forgotten!

In happier news, you should all check out this promising RPG called CXXIV. It takes place in 124 AD, meaning during Hadrian's reign, and it looks awesome! Even if you don't intend to play, do have a look at those gorgeous "Roman Life"Read more... )

Aw, Oscar! A toast to the ever-popular Mr. Wilde!

Closest thing I have to a history link is this. Courtesy of the R/S fandom. (Christ, the date marks just how long I've been in it.)

Yeah, Oscar forever!

Hehe, that's hilarious. Even though it just reminded me why I'd take the sex-crazed Romans over the church with its unfriendly ways any day. XD (And be proud you're such a veteran!)

Woot!

Even though it just reminded me why I'd take the sex-crazed Romans over the church with its unfriendly ways any day. Same here. (Hehehe, that's very true. I've been around awhile.)

Seriously, I've said it before, but I wish there'd been no Middle Ages between us and antiquity! (It's very impressive.)

OH. It does look awesome, indeed.

I saw last week a coverage as for the Villa Adriana, and my jaw just dropped on the floor. ME WANTS SEE IT IN REAL.

I was very impressed when I saw it.

Ooh, you did? I'm glad to hear it's getting some publicity! AND I KNOW, RIGHT? AT LEAST YOU DIDN'T MISS IT AS PATHETICALLY AS I DID.

There will be plenty of other documentaries about it - and I almost missed it all since I was watching something else at that moment... ;)

Off-topic, but

ZOMGWTFBBQAARRGH.

What is happening with figure skating? Especially non-Japanese people's TES? And why are all the awesome people getting sick or injured?!? I heard Weir got the flu...and Mr Swan Lake just had to get surgery on his knee!

< / whine >

I don't like Nobunari Oda's spin positions =( but I guess at least he has better jump landings than that other Japanese guy. ALSO: why is nobody else up on youtube?!?!

WTF? I was wondering why Daisuke wasn't participating, but I had NO IDEA he was having surgery! Gah, I hope it doesn't screw up everything for him this year... And poor Johnny, too.

I have to admit, I haven't actually seen them yet. But last time I checked I still liked Daisuke better than the other Japanese skaters, so...

Nah, it wasn't morning, unless you mean really early post-midnight morning. But yeah, such bad news... Thanks for the article, but I feel so sorry for Daisuke. And disappointed since we don't know when he'll be around.

But thanks, those videos did cheer me up! I haven't seen Johnny skate for a while and only now realized how much I missed it! He always has such awesome exhibitions...
