People are really stupid. Protesting over this? My God, I've READ worse things than they show here. And about "children's books" too.

That aside...that is such an awesome propaganda. "Let's come together" Wow, just...I burst out laughing when it got to that.

My thoughts exactly. I was really hoping there would be no controversy about this at all, but that's apparently too much to ask for. (And of course those three seconds from Bad Education are the most problematic part of the video, since it was the only bit that was specifically pointed out in the newspaper).

Anyway, that whole "Let's come together" thing got me laughing as well! If only all ads were as interesting as this one. xD

Is the Bad Education clip the only one to contain male on male sex? Because if they're getting all riled up about that, they need to get their homophobic asses back into the backwoods where they belong.

To me, that line was the best part of the commercial, and I LOVE a good sex scene.

It is, as far as I've noticed. And that's not to mention they could have chosen something a little more graphic from that movie to put in the commercial, too. (By the way, I'd really like to know why the movie was rated NC-17 in America. Sure, it is serious and sexy and thought-provoking, but I'd still give it just R were it up to me. Homophobic asses from the backwoods, indeed.)

More seriously. It seems that some do love ranting and complaining about nothing. It's the human nature. But instead of being interested by what should matter now, ie, pollution, greenhouse effect or such, we definitely can't help them to become a bit intelligent.

Really, I just think it's totally pointless to complain about something that doesn't even hurt anybody. (Also, I'd like to know how most of those hardcore moralists manage to have so many children if sex just doesn't exist in their world. -Damn, I talk like House.) What made me angry about the issue is that some people still seem to think that quality depends on content and that just because they consider something immoral, everyone else should have the same opinion. That's nonsense, to put it mildly (especially the first part). They should go read a bit of Oscar Wilde; maybe that would serve as an eye-opener.

*shrugs* it's like they don't know what to do of their spare time. And ocne they think they're right, you can't expect them to understand the directors or artists' POVs; for them, all that shows a tiny bit of skin is a sin.
What do they think? that people wait for their marriage to lose their virginity? that's absurd.

And we shall have them read Wilde one day. Maybe one day... if they know how to read. Because beign so stupid does imply a low rate in education. *g* /bitter rant

Oh, I've always thought some people have too much time on their hands if they can't use it for anything better than ranting like this. I absolutely agree that they most likely can't see it from the artists' perspective. And I wouldn't be surprised if they were still concerned about pre-marital sex. (Hey, but isn't that discrimination if certain people shouldn't be allowed to marry at all according to their beliefs? XD)

I suppose they know how to read...just not what to read to broaden their horizons. But then again, being informed/educated about things does come after personal feelings for some folks... *sighs*

They're calling this PORN? I've seen much worse in trailers for 'teen' movies while in the movie theater. Besides, I didn't seen any 'parts', so that doesn't classify it as porn to me. And the complaining about male on male, that's a bit moronic because that has been something more openly shown around the world in recent years. Have those people been living under rocks?! DX

Under rocks, probably. I really have no idea what should be so wrong with this trailer! But then again, my attitude to portraying sex is just that it has to be done well...as in, well written/filmed/etc. Those moralists need to get a life.

Regarding the male on male stuff, I'd say this bit was actually taken from the least explicit sex scene in that entire movie! (But don't get me wrong, it's still awesome. *dreamy sigh*) And even then, this video has about two seconds of it. Apparently, it's enough to scar some people for life... xD
