It was rare that Azmaria found the courage to ask Sister Kate if she could travel outside the walls of the convent, though it was a small request. There was no doubt in her mind that it was a lovely place, filled with kind people, but every young girl thirsts for fresh air a few times a week. And so, with nothing but an apple she had taken from the kitchen, she made her way out of the building and into the outdoors.

After a while of walking, she found herself at what seemed to be a deserted cathedral. Ivy crawled up the walls, and when she took a closer look, a layer of dust rested over the floor and the pews. She looked around, her hand on the threshold, to make sure there was nobody inside that she would be interrupting.

When she noted that the church was indeed empty, she made her way inside. She moved forward, looking down the length of each of the pews as she passed, until she found herself at the altar. Turning around and peering behind her once more to make sure there was nobody there, she bent down over it. She shut her eyes and folded her hands together, bowing her head over the altar respectfully. It had been years, but it finally felt like Azmaria had something to thank God for, and she'd spare no opportunity to do so.

"God, thank you for Rosette, and Chrono, and Sister Kate... For Miss Satella, and Father Remington." Despite the lack of people in the space, she found herself whispering. After those words, she looked up, smiling, and began to sing.

"Led by the light of faith, serenely beaming, with glowing hearts, by His cradle we stand..."
