The continuing adventure that is Zoe

Sep 07, 2011 13:00

Through carelessness of someone other than me's part, Zoe got a hold of Oscar's insulin bottle this morning and broke it. So, off we went to the vet again since she'd certainly swallowed some of it, and also to check a suspicious looking sore on her hind leg. She was pronounced not in danger (the bottle was almost empty) and is under home ( Read more... )

Well, I suppose it's better than being a crack whore and hanging out on the street corner.

Or being the legendary dog from the following legendary classified ad:

"LOST DOG. Three legs, one eye, deaf. Accidentally castrated. Answers to 'Lucky.' Reward. Call 555-1212....."

Ah, I am glad Zoe is okay! For what it is worth my dog quite enjoyed a combination of snail pellets, alcoholic chocolates and paper when he was bored enough.I am sure she will grow out of the behaviour! Eventually they figure out the connection between not feeling good and eating peculiar household objects. :)

This brings back memories of the dog we had when I was a kid. He was a mutt although he came from a pet store, mostly brown with some white & black, flopped ears, big brown eyes. My mom named him Samson, which we immediately shortened to Sam.

As a puppy he chewed on the little electrical box thingie that the phone wires were connected to (the old-fashioned landline). We had to cover it up a couple inches thick with duct tape! And there was a little yellow baby sock that he swallowed whole. It eventually, ahem, reappeared...;p

He lived to be 15, silly old doggie!

While bread and chocolate does sound a bit romantic, when you add a dog into a mix, I suddenly have visions of melted chocolate smeared into the carpet, crumbs scattered around, and a guilty looking dog pooping out wrappers.

And a big whopping vet bill. Chocolate is generally really, really bad for dogs, unfortunately.

Hah, yes it can be. Luckily, the dog I had who got into them was about 75-80lbs, and his sheer size made it so the worst he got was diarrhea. That and the chocolate he got into didn't have a high cocoa content. I would be extremely worried if my sister's smaller dogs ever got into chocolate.

Hi! I just finished the Tamir triad and it is truly wonderful. However, having fallen in love with the character of Caliel (gimme a friend like him!), I was a bit sad/frustrated that you didn't develop who he was a bit more. Like who's his father (a general, but apart from that?) and his mother, why was he a companion for longer than the others (from what I've understood), why is he allowed to fight Korin but not the others, why does the king seem more familiar with him than with most of the others, what did he become after all of this (I like to imagine he married and had children and all but at the same time I suppose he'd be rather disturbed after everything)... That kind of stuff, you know, I'm just wondering why he is what he is lol. If you got any time to answer this =)
