New Skitten Video!

The skittens are five weeks old tomorrow, so I gave them their first solid meal, or gruel, really. Mixed good quality canned kitten food with kitten milk replacer. Smokey and Patches dug right in, but Rufus was not interested. Skit spent the magical moment growling at me from the shadows.

Oh goodness. They're too cute for words. ;A; I melted when Rufus began scratching his ear. Somehow, everything a kitten does dials the cuteness factor up to 11.

Adorable! Don't worry, Rufus will figure it out soon. Also, solid food means solid waste, so if you have a spare litter box around you may consider setting it up for them near their corner, otherwise they'll pick a spot all on their own. :)

The litter box is a good idea; they will figure out what it's for, but if they seem confused you can put one of them in the litter and gently move his little paws as though he's scratching; he'll get it.

You might try giving Rufus a little food on your finger. That might get him interested :)
