I've heard good things about CM but have lumped it in with NCIS and CSI Bakersfield and the rest of the crime shows. I've been off torture porn since Seven tho'--if I have to see another woman screaming in pain and terror...

Given that, would you recommend CM? Like, I don't ready many mysteries or police procedurals but love Inspector Banks by Peter Robinson--I'm not allergic to violence but I don't want to dwell on the details, you know?

It can be quite grisely. Some episodes focus on the team, which I like, while others put you with the victims at length which is sometimes just too disturbing for me. But the characters are good, which keeps me coming back.

I haven't seen Criminal Minds yet (my work hours are too erratic to pursue tv successfully), but I do know that eating and watching CSI don't always mix well. XP I hope you weren't set back too far!

Oh man, I've done that before - and then had to pull out what I was working on (usually just the start of a sock or something).

Okay I've been debating with someone on ohnotheydidnt about the whole "who would be good for Alec and Seregil" thing and we both agreed on the Depp-as-Seregil thing if it could ever happen, but since you mentioned Criminal Minds aka most addictive show ever (not a good one to discover at the beginning of a semester ugh), what do you think of Gubler as Alec? She thinks he's too scrawny and not blonde enough, I just imagine poor lil Alec in that cell in the beginning and can totally see a blonder, blue-contacted Gubes playing him. He even has the "looking way younger than he is" thing going on.

Anyways sorry to bring that up in this post I just tend to say what I think before I forget...

Oh and also try watching Criminal Minds while doing homework. Im-fucking-possible. D=

LOL! I guess I can see it, a little, but as much as I love the Gube, he's too tall and gawky. I do love the way he moves, though.

maybe it's just me loving Gubes too much. My crush on that kid is reaching the level of ridiculous, not even going to lie. WHY IS HE SO ADORABLE

I've seen the term "adorkable" used for him. I think it fits, especially for Reid.
