Jackson is bigger and happier than ever. Regular trips to puppy school and the dog park are yielding slow but good results. Probably because of Emma, he really likes little dogs. With the larger, more dominate ones he completely wusses out, putting his tail down and slinking away. When the crowd is less pushy, though, he mingles in with the pack, ( Read more... )

We use pull-ups or swimmer diapers for my mother's tiny fluffball. Those seem to work and are relatively cheap. Otherwise, maybe cloth diapers and those nylon diaper covers?

I've seen that style. Doesn't it make a mess in their fur?

I'm going to second falcongirl - we had a maltese/poodle who, in his teen years had a hard time holding it during the night and we used to put baby diapers on him and it really wasn't a problem. I guess just make sure you keep the fur clean - I never remember it causing that big of a mess since his fur on his belly was usually short and secondly the diapers absorb pretty well.

Nope. We had to shave the pup's back end fairly short anyway due to the potty issue being from both sides, and she gets a wipe with a baby wipe when changed.

I was about to suggest the same thing, but I'm not actually sure whether it makes a mess or not.

Well, I've never used them, but I've seen adds for some 'dog diapers' before. washable ones run about $11-$18 a piece. Here's a couple of the places I've seen that sell 'em. :-)

They look like they might do the trick. Good luck with the poor guy. So hard when the little ones start having trouble like that. :-(

I used to wrap a disposable baby diaper around my dog's belly when he was older and having trouble with incontinence. He was 11 pounds and a size 3 diaper was about right. You might have some luck with this route, depending on Bosco's size. Bless his sweet heart!

Your posts about your dogs make me miss mine a lot. Still, reading about yours makes me happy, as weird as that may sound. Hahahahaha. :)
