Title: Unexpected Destinies Rating: PG-13 Spoilers: up to and including Exile on Main St., AU from the end of season 5 Warnings: AU, slash Word Count: 2,302 Summary: Bobby tells the others what they must do to prepare Sam for the ritual.
i mean i love everything in this fic. but i'm a sucker for sam acting like a jackass and bobby being all wonderfully disapproving. i wonder what christian will think of sam now that he knows sam drank demon blood? also, on that note -- sam is such a bitch! go bobby for noticing the hypocrisy in sam's decisions to share dean's shameful secrets but not his own.
i know it'll be a while for sam and dean to meet up again (and for dean to REALLY confront sam about his actions, and for dean and christian to interact, and for sam to find out about castiel and dean's relationship...) but it'll be more than worth the wait and before that happens i know i'll be getting to read all the chapters you'll be posting until then :D
Wow, thanks! This is the type of reply I'm more used to seeing for 'present' chapters which is why I found it so ironic that with the last time everyone was yelling at me for not sticking to the 'past' :) Yes, there is still a lot of stuff to get to. I've given up trying to guess how long this fic will be. We'll just have to wait and see.
Oh, yes, poor me, I HAD to drink demon blood to save the world.
Jerk
Conviently forgetting all the times with Ruby and, by the way, did he ever tell them that he was the one who let Luci out of his cage in the first place?
Hmm
I need to go back and re-read the other 'Present' chapters.
Great to see another chapter from Bobby's point of view. Hope the cleansing ritual is nice and uncomfortable. Are we going to get to 'see' it? Please?
Hee hee, I do kinda wonder whether I could do enough to Sam to satisfy certain readers, but we'll see what happens. I can say the boy is in for some shocks and unpleasant surprises. Thanks!
"Demon blood?" Samuel demanded, shocked. "Drank? You mean he- Sam, did you actually drink demon blood?"
From the shocked and horrified looks on the others' faces, Bobby realized that Sam had never told his newfound family about that particular aspect of his past. He felt his anger grow and he clenched his jaw as he thought about that. So, the boy had thought nothing of telling them about what Dean had done in Hell because he thought they had a right to know, but he had conveniently left out his own transgression.
Hm. How convenient! Sam tells his new found family all about Dean and his faults and yet he can't do the same for himself.
At least Bobby has enough maturity and wisdom to realize that he fucked up and needs to earn Dean's trust back while clearly Sam still has a long way to go.
No, Bobby is pointing out that being forgiven is what was important about the scenario as Christian was saying that the re-earning of trust was bad, like a real friend wouldn't make him do that. To Bobby the real friend would forgive. How did you see it being isn't?
Another awesome chapter! :-D I'm really hoping that sooner or later (preferably sooner...) Bobby gives Christian a serious telling off, and Sam too, because Bobby lectures are awesome and they both totally deserve them *grins*
Thanks! The problem with sooner is that these 'present' chapters are interspersed with the old ones so even if it would be the next one, it would take a while.
*grins* that works - I just don't think Bobby would tip-toe around idiots who need a tongue lashing for too long without a damn good reason...I like the way you go back and forth between past and future all the time, keeps things interesting as far as figuring things out goes :-D

"The fact that I've been forgiven in the first place is the important part," Bobby continued.
Shouldn't this be isn't instead?
