7 Pages 7 Days

My friend Raney proposed he and I draw a 7 page comic in 7 days, and so it was done. We had to create new characters and a new plot and everything. He didn't finish his in time, but here's the first page to whet your appetite. The rest are present in a lj cut:

heh, loved the running gag and interesting little idea. A 7 page comic sounds like an interesting idea

I dont necesarily think it looks rushed, I think if it hadnt been rushed, it wouldnt have gotten done, so in a way, the rushedness is a part of it, not a drawback, you know? It adds character. And I think if you did a lot of these, you woud find ways to not make it rushed, then when you really had time to do a comic, it wouldn't take you long to do anymore, you know?

I agree with all that. Also, I find it interesting that the writing and artwork didn't suffer. The only thing that tips me off that it was a time-crunch was the very basic nature of the plot. But I doubt it could really be better staged, and those little gags about cat-nap and cat-fish and the running gag are really great.
