Persistence is key for many aspects of modern life. It is an unfortunate development in social stigmata that a person be a free thinker and prone to flights of fancy.
Leonardo Devinchi is one such free-thinker who was able to best utilize both persistence and his artistic mind to hone his thoughts into seemingly riddled drawing and schematics that we find only being developed or used in our modern era.
Now, trying to hurtle that particular bar is difficult, but if you always aim high, you might be surprised how often falling short from your actual goal still leaves you beyond the scope of your peers who hadn't the ambition to look quite as high, or quite as far as you did.
Risk is an important asset to harness and capitalize on.
