I haven't been following a lot of the hullaballoo over it, but most reactions I've seen are that it isn't the type of outfit that has an "iconic" feel, which I somewhat agree with, save that most iconic images weren't iconic when they were introduced. (Also, frankly, do people really expect it to last long?)
I have to say, it's not really a look I associate with her (I prefer her in armor, personally) but I think it's a decent outfit. I'd be more likely to associate it with one of her supporting heroines (such as the one in my icon) than Diana herself, though.
People want to whine. Apparently making her put on some goddamn clothes is not a win for feminists. Even though, you know, they were previously bitching about how she can fight in a one-piece swimsuit without falling out of it.
In conclusion? I don't know, people just like to cause wank, I guess.

guess so. i mean wonder woman is kickass, but I always felt her outfit was so unflattering. Not really womanizing? Just. How is wearing bootie shorts helpful kind of way.
The argument I really don't get is that, now that she's in pants, she can't be a powerful female icon. So she needs bootie shorts to do that? whatever, man.

No matter what else is said that may be correct, this will always be correct as well.
