So we're in the car talking about giant space rocks that crash into the planet and kill the dinosaurs and so forth. Oscar makes a reasonable stab at pronouncing Tunguska, then starts talking about what would happen if a meteor was heading straight for our car

Or, as my friend Eric puts it FOMALOL. (I had to think about it, too...) I can just imagine Oscar saying that. I'm not heading your way after the conference. It was ridiculously complicated and expensive to get anywhere from Boston so am (depressingly) just burning a day at the hotel with similarly depressed others hostage to expensive Saturday airfares. Sigh. My friend from Boston says it's the old brahmin system - they don't want anyone to come in or out. I was amused to find a Dublin-Shannon-Montreal-Boston flight on Aer Lingus. Is that an old immigration path or what?
