Hermes is still all grinning and squishably happy.

Hermes squishes and giggles. It is a fearsome and manly giggle.

Norman is intimidated, ohyes. So intimidated he has to snuggle, out of pure terror.

(( DOH! I just realized that I forgot to say what the gift Eiko got for them was! It's done in the style of the painting on a Greek amphora, showing a classical image of Hermes, along with a similarly stylized Norman - like that icon! - but done on a flat panel of green glass in shades of green and blue, and mounted to be hung on a wall. Alas, the mun sucks at art, and therefore the drawing of it is beyond the skill. ))

Hermes adores it and knows the perfect spot to hang it - on one of the walls in the Impluvium, so it can catch the light reflected off the rainwater pool.

((Like Eiko, I forgot to mention the prezzies. Djehuty sent over a pair of gold winecups from the court of Psusennes, to go along with Ruthven's case of 1799 Chateau Yquem. Marginatus nibbled a set of napkin rings out of particularly well-colored mussel shells; and Chesh inflicted one of his damn singing flowers on them--a lone white hyacinth singing 'Voi che sapete' from the Marriage of Figaro.))

((More gift memos- seeing as Norman and Hermes have no lack of funds with which to start their married life, Otto opted to offer them something strange and horrific instead- a genuine Fiji Mermaid, c. 1980 or so, for Hermes, and a genuine Hurdy-Gurdy for Norman, though he hopes that Norman never bothers actually trying to play it. It's the sentiment that counts, right?))

Hermes love, love, loves the mermaid and hopes that Norman does not play the Hurdy-Gurdy.

((N will present presents on their return. She had a damnable time trying to find anything suitable.))
