I was all funked out yesterday, and forgot to post this fanfic. I wrote it a couple of days ago. It's a merely-okay fic, so don't get too excited. It started as a Big Idea, in which I thought I would write a faux manga episode in the styles of several famous turn-of-the-last-century British authors. Tsubasa will have a happy ending. It'll just be Sakura and Xiao Lang getting it though. They're like sacred cows. MOo.

The last chapter did kick major amounts of ass though. The mom dying with her eyes open, the arm, the standing in a pile of ruin covered in blood, the Kandappa. That was crazy-awesome.

Yeah, Tsubasa is regularly one of the best selling manga in english. Right up there with Fullmetal Alchemist and Kenshin, and lately Naruto. I used to buy manga in japanese and read translations but I found it easier and far more enjoyable to just wait till the manga was released in english. Convienence. Anyway, don't hate the causual fans... they have just as much right to read the thing as you do. Even the annoying ones. At least their buying the stuff and not stealing it like half the people on the internet. Oi.

As soon as I figured out what that book did, I screamed, "Someone hand it over to the blonde and then grab it out of his wiry little hands!!!" Yes, I even abused exclamation points as I said that aloud.

Chibi Kurogane is killing me, as is his totally hot dad. I really enjoy learning things about Kurowanwan, but I would really dig some Magician backstory, plskthnx, Clamp.

I turn into a l33tspeaking 13-year-old every time I see Fay, so don't stress over the abuse of exclamation points. You know that cheesecake image of him at the beginning of Chapitre 89? In the water? Well, I saw that first thing after I got back online after being off my Fayfix for like a month, made a noise like a person trying to suck a pig through a drinking straw, and then fell over ZOMG. It took me three tries to make it into a desktop before I could stop staring and vector.

Anyway. What were we talking about?

Oh, right, the Fushigi Yuugi. A cheesy narrative device, no doubt, but at least it's something. I figure, Kuro's backstory in Volume 12, Fay's probably in Volume 21, and then the terrible ending involving Syaoran's backstory in Volume 26. You know it's going to be terrible. YOU KNOW IT IN YOUR HEART.

I also get the feeling that CLAMP hasn't technically made up Fay's backstory yet, but I'm sure it involves angst and many wonderful fashion statements.

Er. Do I know you from somewhere else? You sound a bit familiar.

Hey, thanks. I really love BlueSkies, which is why it's so diseased elaborate, and it makes me happy to see that other people like it, too (I tend to get overwhelmingly negative feedback from the site ( ... )
