As featured in a story called “Love an Adventure” that I wrote for DargonZine back in 1994, I’ve always felt that an adventure is simply doing something you’ve never done before, no matter how small.

Well, the past 48 hours have provided several such “firsts”… or a lot of adventure, if you care to look at it that way.

Did that require local or general anusthesia (sic) ;)? Oh, you said they gave you a sedative anyhow, so you were not conscious during that.. which is probably a good thing.

Very glad you made it through that! Kudos to you! It sounds horrifying to me. I would HATE having to exist on just liquids for 48 hrs, dealing with icky tasting laxatives, and the results thereof, and THEN having the procedue as well as simply being in a hospital, too. UGH!

Did they find any problem?

Mild general. Yeah, I actually asked for lighter anesthesia, because of my control issues, but I still was out cold the whole time, so far as I can tell (it also has an amnesiac effect). Just about everyone I've talked to has railed on about how much worse the prep is than the procedure, and I guess I concur.

But, yeah, it would have been the epitome of adding insult to injury if they'd actually found something that necessitated further treatment, but all's well, thankfully.
