We've had five feet or so of snow over the last three weeks. How much you lookin at?

Funny thing is that the temperature here ain't that low. It hovers just below freezing at night, gets above freezing during the day. But it snowed every day. And by every day, I mean... Every. Single. Day. Three solid weeks without the sky. I've been coughing for the last two of those three. This might explain the latest philosophy kick. Maybe.

'Bout a foot in seven hours. High of 12F over the last couple of days, though, and 30 mph, so we were still in whiteout twelve hours after the snow stopped. And the roads are furrow-y, hard-frozen, wind-tunnel nightmares. Sigh.

The last foot here dropped on Sunday night/Monday morning. Most of the snowfall was gradual over the three weeks of incessant white flakes from the sky, but the last came all at once. It was the first ever Snow Day I've experienced here. And by Snow Day, I mean to say that the students didn't have to come to school, but the teachers still did. Round these parts, that's how they do.
