Pan's was so amazing. A film I'd definitely go see again, in theatres, if someone hadn't seen it. Just to persuade them to see it. :)

I liked the movie overall (loved the feel and visuals, for instance), but some of the story writing in it left me underwhelmed. For instance there were a couple of instances that required an otherwise intelligent lead to temporarily become inexplicably, breathtakingly stupid in order to advance the scene. That is one of the things that has always annoyed me in stories.

Seconded. The music was awesome, the visuals as well, but the story often maneuvered around ignored circumstances which should have compelled plot motion.

Also, the melodramatic acting occasionally reminded me of a Mexican soap opera, but I didn't mind so much...reminded me of my life.

As to movies, I'm still trying to find another one good to go see in person. It's been a few months, and it seems like I've been on a bit of a home-viewing kick with documentaries over the last month or so.
