but it also seemed as if Ten is just listlessly hanging around now and waiting for something (something being a regeneration) to happen.
That's true. Lack of a companion isn't helping. I kinda wish Morrissey would have stayed on travelling with the Doctor at least until he regenerated. ¬_¬

2. A couple of companions at once. I wouldn't mind if it was a man and woman who fall in love with one another. Although I don't want another companion to fall in love with the Doctor, OT3 vibes are fun.
3. Someone who is not from modern day London. There are more places in the universe, Doctor! A different time, a different place, hell, even a different nationality would do!
ZOMGYES to both of those! I miss the full TARDIS, and companions from different planets, times, and countries. :(

I love me some historical episodes!
You know what I miss that they haven't done since the First doctor was around? Historical episodes with no aliens. Ya know, aside from the doctor. Everytime they go back in time now, there's some alien there trying to take over ( ... )

Yeah, the Doctor really needs a companion to share all the fun and joy with...I hate seeing him look like a lonely lost puppy. :( And seriously, the Xmas Special would have been nothing without the two Davids together...I would have loved to see Morrissey stick around for the other specials! ♥

Dear The Moff, FULL TARDIS AND DIVERSITY, PLS?!

Really? No aliens? Just historical? I...I think I would kind of love that a lot! I'd probably like the First Doctor serials then.

...yeah, I guess I just kinda miss how it was done in the old show... I feel old now. :P

Hahaha. Well, according to Who fandom, if you're 26 or younger, you're practically in diapers! :P

I haven't seen the confidential yet either or seen the actor in much, but I trust the Who team to pick well. Ruby in the Smoke and Shadow in the North are mildly entertaining (yay, historic mysteries!)--it's worth watching for Billie, JJ Field (♥) and (now) the 11th Doctor! :)

I think if RTD has his way, he'll be that way until the end. :(

I reeeallly hope Moffat doesn't go for the young london girl again!

There's an arc called 'The Romans' where the Doctor is the cause of the great fire of Rome. ♥ And there's Marco Polo, The Aztecs, The Reign of Terror about the french revolution, The Crusade, The Myth Makers(Troy! The Torjan Horse being the Doctor's idea!), The Massacre of St Bartholomew's Eve, The Gunfighters(cracked old west arc ♥).... First's era was full of arcs that had nothing to do with aliens. ♥ And there's The Highlanders in Second's era where he picks up Jamie...

Well, according to Who fandom, if you're 26 or younger, you're practically in diapers! :PAh, this is true. :P ( ... )

So, you're saying 26 isn't fresh-faced? You sure you wanna go there? *gives you the stink-eye* *giggles*
I'm glad they've picked a new Doctor, just so I can stop thinking about it. I have decided to be optimistic about it. :)
I haven't seen the Christmas ep, so I'm disappointed to hear that they didn't sing or dance. Really, that wouldn't be so out of place on DW, would it?

*hugs*

Hahaha! No no no no...please don't mistake m! ;) It's just that by reading through all of fandom's comments, you would think that a 26 year-old was equivalent to a middle schooler. *rolls eyes* 26 is a wonderful age! I'm optimistic about it as well because I trust the Who team to pick well. I probably would have gone 'BZUH' about CE and DT if they had been cast after I was a fan of the series...

Aww, you haven't seen it yet? Would you like me to send it to you? I've been meaning to send you a package, but I haven't bought cds yet to err, actually put anything together. :/ Any requests? (Doctor Who is always entertaining, but I was a little disappointed with the Xmas special. *pouts* The least Rusty could have done was make Morrissey and Tennant dance and sing together! Do away with the Cybermen and borrow that demon from Buffy that turned Sunnydale into Bollywood!)

*HUGS*

"26 is a wonderful age!" *snerk* We shall see, won't we? :)

*sigh* I'd like to see the DW, but the disc drive in my computer no longer works. *pouts* I have to use my Mum's computer, so it's a rare thing. No rush. Really, I don't think you should angst over it much. I have, what? Two years worth of Christmas/birthday presents sitting here, waiting to be sent? You have a box, with your name on it. *shakes head* Pathetic.

As for the Sunnydale demon? As long as Spike isn't kissing anyone, well then, what the hell? Go for it. :)

The first thing I thought was, haircut!
I like his look in the second picture here:
http://community.livejournal.com/dwfiction/1882713.html
Then again he's also wearing geek specs so that may also have something to do with it :)
I really can't fully judge him until I see him in action but I'm surprised they went so much younger and he's not exactly who I'd have chosen as the Doctor just by looking at him.

Hahaha, I know! The hair really bothers me! I'm especially disturbed that Moffat likes it because then it's more likely he'll keep it for the role... :/

Oh! He looks worlds better in that second picture. Even more Doctorish. ♥geek specs!

I don't want to set myself up for disappointment by being too optimistic, but I am hopeful that he'll win most of us over by the first episode. I wouldn't have chosen him either, but then again, I would never have thought of Eccleston or Tennant either... It'll be interesting to see how they work with the age thing, especially with companions.
