I feel like you and I are really similar when it comes to fic-writing and motivation. I get that way too, when an idea or the vision of a certain scene will take hold of me and won't let go, so maybe I'll start writing it down. But then I'll begin to feel overwhelmed by the idea and just how complicated it would be to pull it off, or I'll get distracted (ADD woot!), so the whole thing eventually just falls by the wayside.
Have you thought about participating in some of the challenges that are coming up at ninth_eagle? I think having a set deadline will really give me the kick in the ass I need to actually finish a fic. And, like you, I want to keep this fandom alive as much as possible, because I still LOVE it and I still LOVE Esca/Marcus and I don't see that love dwindling any time soon.
And please don't let my or anyone else's fills to prompts stop you from posting yours! WE LOVE MULTIPLE FILLS, PUCK, YOU MUST KNOW THIS.

I've also been considering the eagle_rrb, since I'll feel more like I have to finish so I don't let someone down, and since it'll only be 3k, I should be able to figure out something. My only concern for that is how id-driven my stories are, so the idea of trying to write for someone else's kinks can be hard - some of my favorite pieces ever were written for exchanges and similar challenges, but they've also caused some ( ... )
