Cassie feels like she's been in the twilight zone all day. Not only has she had to reorient herself to her own schedule, where everything is, and familiarize herself with the homework that she finished five months ago but everyone kept asking her questions. She didn't consider the fact that she would look different to everyone: that her hair has kept growing and has gotten lighter and her skin tone has also changed just a little

strgatechild: Apparently I've changed alot since I came to Milliways. *frustrated*

wzrdoftherock: Ah... Hm. And people are noticing and commenting? *pokes them*

He sighs. He can see how that might happen.

He grins.

"Cool. If you can scope out what your courses are going to be like, we can take more work back to Milliways and I can help you with it, to get back in the habit."

He goes silent for a minute, then glances at her,

"What would you think of me coming here... for a few years.?"

She glances at him, eyes hopeful and hint of a smile on her lips.

"...Really?"

"Well, I was thinking about going back to college for a computer degree and they have a good one here, and I can go to the higher courses nearby... and it is within my price range..."

He looks shy and embarassed.

"I even checked out housing. There is a place near here I could get. They are still in the building stages but by Christmas time they will have tio done and I could get in for Spring summester. I love you, Cassie and I want to be near you. And I want to get my degree, and, well... why not here?"

He looks at her, biting his lip.

She grins wide and kisses him happily.

"I'd like that.

I'd like that alot."

He nods, carefully not looking at her.

"Yep. Yep."

He presses the walk button as they reach the crosswalk.

"You could hang and see how it feels."

His stomach seems filled with butterflies.

"Uhhuh." Her thoughts flicker to her backpack and she forces them away.

"So what kind of food are we getting?"

He snatches a glance at her and smiles.

"Chicken?"

Had she forgotten? He eyes her for a second, then grins.

"Unless you want something else?"

She shrugggggggggs.

"Chicken is healthy!"
