So many great lines in this!

Peter kicked his brother under the table and Claude couldn’t help but wonder what stray thought had earned Nathan that.

And now I want to know.

“I saw online the other day that they’re starting to sell books on these devices that are like mp3 players,”

I've seen those! And I agree with Heidi; it's just be kind of weird.

“I already told him carriage rides in the park were out this year.”

“No, I think they’re back in,” Peter commented before moving away

*snort* Ah, boys.

“I don’t know Parkman, but I wouldn’t exactly call Suresh ‘resolutely heterosexual,’”

Heh. Ah, Nathan.

Really enjoying this, which I say each time, but...really, really am.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the new chapter, especially the various lines you cited above! :) As far as those Kindle things go, I was surprised to see Stephen King endorsing them in his column in Entertainment Weekly this week. Personally, I can see how they'd be useful for travel purposes (like if you don't want to lug around all those books) but other than that, they don't really impress me. Hmm...

Then again, I think I may have said the same thing about mp3 players when they first started gaining popularity and now I'm practically inseparable from mine, so who knows? :D

I work in a book store, so I'm always a bit iffy about things that could potentially make my job obsolete. But even as a book reader, I...like the feeling of an actual book. And actual pages.

Oh, and as for mp3 players? I'm not that ashamed to admit that I sleep with mine. I'm a little ashamed, but not that ashamed.

Can't wait!

This is so wonderful. I really liked the conversation between Nathan and Claude and how they were able to at least come to an understanding. And Claude goading Matt was hilarious.

Wow, thanks so much! I have to say, I'm especially glad you enjoyed the conversation between Claude and Nathan. When I first started writing this, I knew those two would have words at some point but I think I was anticipating something a little more...explosive. I wasn't sure how what I ended up with instead would come across, but I'm pleased you liked that bit of understanding they now have between them. :)

Well there went my hope that this would be a light-hearted story wherein the most diabolical thing going on would be Angela Petrelli plotting Claude's death. It's still just as good, only with less humor. Yay for new chapter.

Aww, I hope you weren't too disappointed by the slightly more serious turn the story is starting to take. I admit, I had much fluffier plans for this story when I first started writing it but I guess the story itself had different ideas. I was taken a bit by surprise myself, which is why I tried to include a small warning about it in the header.

But not to worry. Claude is, after all, still Claude and there will still be plenty of lighter moments among the heavier ones. :) Part Six should be up by the end of the week. I hope you continue to enjoy!

Awesome. I love how Claude is so snarky and yet oddly sweet. And the idea that Nathan thought Peter and Mohinder would get together :D

Favorite part:
"So,” Parkman said after a minute and Claude could tell he was wearing a shit-eating grin, “how are things with the in-laws?”

“Hang on, I want to put you on speakerphone so Nathan Petrelli can hear you say that,” Claude said.

Haha, as someone who started off in this fandom as more of a Peter/Mohinder shipper than Peter/Claude one, I couldn't resist including Nathan's line about the possibility of Peter ending up with Mohinder. Ah, well. I guess Mohinder has Matt now. :)
